Hitachi Image Series for AutoCAD
Imaging and Raster-to-Vector Conversion Software for AutoCAD®

Image Series
The Image Series advanced raster management, vectorization, and editing tools streamline creation and manipulation of GIS-ready vector data. Updated for use with AutoCAD 2006, the Image Series modules provide users capabilities for image editing, line tracing, text and line recognition, and symbol recognition.

The Image Series 8.0 suite contains four powerful software modules to improve the raster-to-vector conversion process: Image Edit, Image Tracer, AutoTLX, and AutoSymbol. For specific information on each product, click the product name on the left menu.

ImageSeries Products

Image Series - AutoSymbol
AutoSymbol provides timesaving functions that address the tedious location and insertion of symbols from scanned drawings into AutoCAD blocks. This software significantly reduces the time and cost required to convert paper maps and drawings to vector files.

Rollover the following features to get more information about AutoSymbol:

Image Series - AutoTLX
AutoTLX is a fully automatic raster-to-vector conversion module featuring text and graphics recognition and unique post-editing tools. The AutoTLX text recognition capability automatically recognizes and converts standard fonts and handwritten, engineering style text in both upper and lower case, found at any angle in the raster image. Graphics recognition capabilities include a wide set of entity types, including lines, polylines, arcs, and circles.

AutoTLX's automatic conversion process eliminates hours spent on manual digitizing and text entry.

Image Series - Tracer
Image Tracer combines automatic vectorization capabilities with on-screen digitizing for converting all or part of a raster image into standard AutoCAD graphics. Image Tracer's patented line following routines automatically follow raster lines, circles, and arcs, converting pixel-based images into vector elements. The resulting data can be saved as a standard AutoCAD drawing file. Image Tracer is used primarily for contour maps, parcel maps, architectural drawings, and related diagrams, as well as for data conversion projects requiring "heads-up", on-screen digitizing.

Image Tracer combines the speed of automatic vectorization with the control of on-screen digitizing.

Image Series - Edit
Image Edit allows users to easily edit and manipulate monochrome, grayscale, and color raster image data inside AutoCAD. Imaging routines such as rubbersheeting, raster line editing, and color palette mapping provide users with a fast and efficient method for editing scanned paper-based diagrams, aerial photographs, satellite images, and other raster-based data.
