How Does it Work?
How does it work? VXtrack relies on small, lightweight reflectors that you will position on your product or equipment. The C-Track product has multiple cameras that will track these reflectors, and the VXtrack software will compile all of the information and provide dynamic 3D models of the reflectors’ position in time.
Once compiled, you can view a 3D inspection file or a 3D dynamic measurement file.
VXtrack is a smart, simple, versatile way to get more data out of your scans.
Benefits of VXtrack
- Even better accuracy and measurement repeatability.
- Perform accurate, real-world simulations and gather meaningful data.
- The best way to perform dynamic analyses with your Creaform 3D scanners.
- Reflectors can be used with large or small equipment, and are designed to fit your equipment/ product needs. The reflectors are lightweight, easy to install, and come in various mounting options (from magnets to adhesives).
Simplicity and Versatility, Extended
Any Creaform 3D scanner can be used without the accompanying VXtrack software, but this software just further enhances the versatility and simplicity of their brochure of scanners. Using a Creaform scanner without this added software package will only give you a static image of your part, which is fine in a lot of cases — but the addition of this software only adds more power and functionality to each of your scanners.
How VXtrack Is Commonly Used
Where do different industries currently use VXtrack? Here are a few scenarios that we’ve heard of:
Aerospace
- Control assembly dimensions and check for discrepancies
- Get detailed deformation results from loads applied to the landing gears, tires, wings, and fuselage
Biomechanics/Medical
- Check the functionality of any new, articulating medical device
- Perform fast, dynamic CMM analysis
Automotive
- Get high-precision data on running parts like spinning wheels, revving engine blocks, and exhaust systems
- Check for clearances on closing doors and hoods, and confirm that the designed tolerances are acceptable
- Perform full-scale crash tests and get deformation data from the chassis and seats
Robotics
- A pivotal tool for on-site calibration and assessment
- Capture data and perform real-time course corrections
- Orchestrate automation within assembly tasks
