Artec Micro
The Artec Micro is the highest-precision 3D scanner that the company makes. It’s a desktop unit, meaning that it isn’t a handheld scanner that you can take on the production floor with you. However, desktop 3D scanners can offer much more functionality and accuracy, since points can be anchored and stationary.
The Micro, as the name suggests, is only designed to scan very small parts, up to 90 x 60 x 60 mm, or 3.5 x 2.3 x 2.3 inches. Yes, this is small, but the precision you get is unrivaled by most other 3D scanners on the market.
With accuracies as low as 0.01mm and resolution down to 0.029mm, this is truly a metrology-grade 3D scanner that can easily replace an existing CMM setup that you may have. As a 3D scanner, it has more flexibility in what parts you can insert.
In the end, you’ll get meaningful 3D CAD files that are exact digital twins of the part you put into the Artec Micro. Even though it’s a desktop 3D scanner with ultra-high precision, it can still capture up to 1 million points per second, which translates to some fast 3D scanning.
